Another 20 Months

ANOTHER 20 MONTHS- PART I

I accidentally found this blog today. I couldn't believe it when I realized that it had been another exactly 20 months since my last post! I wonder if there is something significant about this time period. If you read my post that mentioned my 'cycles', you may realize that this could be one of the macro cycles. This post will talk about the Organization of my life rather than Relationships. I will make a second post for that.

CHRONOLOGY

Since my last post, there has been significant growth in my life. Though I absolutely love the progress that I am always making, some stability would be nice. I can't complain. I will explain the evolution that has occurred in the structures and relationships of my life.

Restructure
The structure of my life has gone through a couple of phases in the past 20 months. In the first phase, I acclimated to college life and learned to be more self sufficient. I learned to schedule my life and to apply myself. My job at LR was maintained, and it seemed to have taken everything to balance school and work. This was a period of experience based, passive growth. The second phase was a period of rapid growth. I temporarily transformed into a type A personality. I founded and lead clubs, maintained a near 4.0, worked my butt off at LR, and took on nearly any challenge that I was presented with. I learned how much can be done with the right measure of confidence. My third phase, in which I am currently in, is one that is forcing me to start over at the drawing board. Every habit and learned behaviour in the previous phases is being questioned and analyzed. My lifestyle is being restructured. My goals are being set. A vision is being put in place. There are a bunch of things that I would like to talk about. First I would like to touch on lifestyle design.

LIFESTYLE DESIGN- HOW

This is a new concept in which i plan to increase my total productive hours in my life by 1626%.
  • Sleep
  • I am trying to adapt to a polyphasic sleep schedule. I sleep for 3 hours each night and I supplement with 20 minute naps. The schedule is extremely important. This will give me a 25% increase in total waking hours. So far my body seems to get the right amount of rest. My brain is doing pretty well with it too. It should get better by day 10 (today was day 5).

  • Execution
I am learning to get those "must do's" in my life completed quickly. As an example ather than spending 8 hours studying psychology to absorb it all, I efficiently skim for the best information and a general understanding of the information. This alone will increase my efficient hours by 25%.

  • Minimilization
I am learning that I cannot do it all. I must eliminate those parts of my life that are not fruitful, that those already fruitful areas will completely flourish. I am trying to eliminate about 20% of the things in my life. This will give me an increase of 25% productive hours.

  • Mini Vacations
Though these may seem to be a waste of time, I have found that short breaks will increase total productivity by 25%.

  • Business Smarts
By following the below business plan of action, I will end up saving 70% of my time. This will increase total productivity of working hours by 233%

  • Conscious Application of Smarts
Simply enough, I will make my best effort to not waste time. Either progressing or relaxing. No middle ground! This should increase my total productivity by 100% and non-working hours by 233%.

VISION OF THE FUTURE- WHAT

Now that we have looked at how I am going to do, we need to look at what I am going to do.
Education- I am looking into getting a Computer Science- Information Sciences Bachelors from Desales University as well as finishing up my Business Administration Associates from NCC. Iwould like to apply my education and then soon go back to school for a MS in Information Sciences OR an MBA. The actual degree choice and the location of my Graduate Studies would have to depend greatly on the circumstances. If I am looking to network, I should try to get into uPenn for an MBA. If I am looking for just a little more technical training, I should get an MS in IS.

Business- There are three types of investing they should be approached linearly for the best gains; all are important. There is grunt investing (GI), active investing (AI), and passive investing (PI).

  • GI requires an investment of time only. In terms of time efficiency, this is the least efficient section of investing, as this results in just a very small dollar amount per hour. However, there is no money invested. This means that it has the best ROI if we are looking at it from a 'money down, money back' perspective. Therefore, it is a great investment for someone with no money and a lot of time.
    $/hr max: 50/1 $/$i max: 0/1

  • AI requires an investment of both time and money into creating businesses- automated machines that fulfill a consumer need. This is the perfect mix for an entrepreneur. This is the only means of obtaining large amounts of capital. The time is spent in finding smart investments for the money. This is the best choice for total efficiency. It is the only smart choice for someone with both time and money to invest. The dollar per hour can be phenomenal here
    $/hr max: 50,000/1 $/$i max: 100,000,000,000/1

  • PI requires an investment of money only. It has the best efficiency of time invested, as it results in the very best dollar per hour. The dollar per hour here has the best potential; it all depends on your investment size and your expertise at smart investing. This is the optimal investing category for someone with a lot of money and no time to invest.
    $/hr max: 1,000,000,000/1 $/$i max: 10/1

The end goal is to become a full-time (no-time) PI asap. In order to achieve this, the followingBUSINESS PLAN OF ACTION must be achieved in order:
  1. Learn AI asap.
  2. Succeed at an AI and GW combination.
  3. Delegate away that GW component.
  4. Use AI to create PI by creating fully automated businesses (residual income).
  5. Begin integrating pure PI through interest income.
  6. Eliminate most AI. Maintain residual income and interest income. Dabble in angel investing.
