20 Months

It has been 20 months since my last post. I have done some soul searching. Shortly after my last post I re-committed my life to Christ. It was gradual. At first it was painful. Then, as I would give Him my life, he gave me His blessings. Each time I dedicate my life to my God, my day is great.

January went by. I stopped scorning Christianity. The beginning of this month and the Dec 2007 were my worst months. That is the time where I was the furthest from God. I lived life for my desires. I gave no concern to my, or others', well being.

February was the turning point. This was a great time for me. On the basis of agnosticism and philosophy, I came to Christ.

3-8 months

March through August was the end of my junior year and the summer prior to my senior year of high school. This was the time period in which I consciously liked Kelly, pursued a relationship, and went on a few dates with her!

9-17 months

This time frame was my senior year of high school. I had a really good first majority of a year with Kelly. My school life was okay. No more, no less. Each day at LV was like a slice of dry whole wheat bread. I was really thirsty, but every day... another slice. I finally graduated.

Summer '09! This summer was phenomenal. For the most part, I kicked aside all of the negative influences holding me back. I worked 40-60 hours a week, had a great summer with Kelly, trusted the Lord a little more, really bonded with Phil, saw him off to college, and began my first semester of college. There were three major things that assisted me in this successful summer. First, I decided that I would spend every hour dedicated to God. I didn't, but I at least had that as a goal in the forefront of my mind. As a fellow blogger wrote, "His grip on me is way, way stronger and more sure than my grip on Him." Second, I burned all negative influences. I got out of LV, only contacted friends I could put my trust, built up those friendships, and simply matured quite a bit. Third, I got sleep. Yeah, sleeping is phenominal and helps your performance more than you could ever imagine. I only got 6 hours last night. I was doing 6 hours of College Algebra until 1:30 am!
